RFID ENABLED TWO-BIN SYSTEM
Richard Philippe invented and commercialized the Logi-D suite of solutions, which included, among other things, the patented RFID-enabled two-bin (2Bin) system, an automated point-of-use replenishment solution for healthcare recognized as a leading practice and deployed on an international scale. Developed at Logi-D Inc. (founded in 2000), the suite was acquired by Tecsys Inc. as part of the company's 2014 sale, and remains part of its Elite™ Healthcare suite today.

AUTONOMOUS GUIDANCE SOLUTION
This same R&D expertise led to the creation of the Avatek suite of point-of-use material management solutions for healthcare, including its Autonomous Guidance Solution Avatek Lite, which combines voice- and light-guided recognition product search for clinical staff, as well as guided put-away for logistics teams, a technology solution also invented by Richard Philippe, and currently patent-pending.
This combination of voice- and light-guided retrieval within a single Avatek-exclusive solution aligns directly with a key insight from Gartner's research "Getting to Inventory Autonomy: Build the Self-Managing Supply Room" (July 2026), which identifies, amongst other practices, voice- and light-guided retrieval as an emerging technology practice designed to reduce staff search time in the shift toward autonomous, self-managing supply rooms ,a shift in which Avatek is named as a representative vendor.
The intellectual property was transferred to Avatek Technologies in July 2025, which now leads its commercialization and development.
